Professeur titulaire au Département de génie mécanique de l'UQTR, titulaire de la Chaire de recherche du Canada en optimisation énergétique des systèmes de transport intelligents et de la Chaire de recherche Noovelia en navigation intelligente de véhicules autonomes industriels. Il dirige scientifiquement le CIRT-MI. Depuis près de vingt ans, il travaille sur l'aide à la conduite, la navigation écoénergétique des véhicules autonomes et l'hybridation des sources d'énergie embarquées. Médaille d'or du Gouverneur général en sciences naturelles et génie (2003).
