Control and mean-field games
Professor of electrical engineering at Polytechnique Montréal and a member of GERAD. A graduate of the American University of Beirut and the University of Houston, he earned his PhD at the Georgia Institute of Technology (1983) and has taught at Polytechnique since 1985. His interest in statistical-mechanics-inspired approaches led to landmark contributions in aggregate electric load modelling and to the early development of mean-field game theory. His current work addresses collective decentralized decision-making.
